Kearstin grew up with fitness around her from an early age, her mother was one of the five founding Jazzercise instructors, and brought Jazzercise to Los Angeles when Kearstin was five. Kearstin was right by her mother's side as she grew theLos Angeles territory to over thirty-five instructors in just a few short years.Kearstin continued her fitness journey through high school, where she was a swimmer, cheerleader, and an equestrian. When it was time for college Kearstin chose fashion, and attended Los Angeles Trade-Tech. At the age of eighteen, she started her twenty-five plus year career in fashion, designing for such companies as Paige Denim, Earnest Sewn, Elizabeth and James, Hudson, and Re/Done.It wasn't until the birth of her second child twelve years ago that she found her way back to fitness wandering into a spin class at Equinox, and that was it she was hooked. Shortly after that, she became a Schwinn Certified instructor. Four years ago, Kearstin opened GEAR Fitness in Albuquerque, NM. A boutique studio offering a variety of group fitness classes including bar, HIIT, yoga, and spin. In 2018, she joined Defined Fitness as a yoga and spin instructor and New Instructor Development Coordinator. She also helped to expand their cycling program,introducing and developing a rhythm-based cycling class. Now living in Hermosa Beach, CA she currently is offering spin classes on-line and as she finishes her 200 hours as an Ashtanga and Rock Yoga Instructor. Kearstin brings her unique no-nonsense attitude that made her so successful in the Fashion Industry into all her fitness classes. She loves motivating people to bring out their best selves. Kearstin believes that the energy created when working out provides the power you need to change your life!
